Philosophy
Change over time, not absolute values
A company that produced 100,000 ounces of gold is not directly comparable to one that produced 3,000,000 ounces. The big producer might be getting worse while the small producer is getting dramatically better. Ranking by size tells you who is big, not who is improving.
ProveMines shows growth rates. A 20% improvement in gold production at a 100koz producer is more meaningful than a 1% improvement at a 3Moz producer. Every view in the workspace is built around this principle.
For cost metrics, the sign is flipped: a 10% cost decrease shows as +10% (green). A 10% cost increase shows as -10% (red). Green always means improvement, regardless of whether the KPI measures something you want more of (production) or less of (costs).

- Average YoY% — mean of all annual changes in the range
- Consistency — what percentage of years improved
- Acceleration — is the trend speeding up or slowing down
